Over the past weekend, Reggae Boyz was screened at both the La Lucerne Football Film Festival in Paris, France, and the DC Caribbean FilmFest! As Brooklyn residents, it’s a distinct pleasure to announce the U.S. Premiere of our film REGGAE BOYZ in competition at the 22nd Brooklyn Film Festival. Saturday, June 1 | 5pm @ Wythe Hotel Cinema, Williamsburg Tuesday, June 4 | 10:30pm @ Windmill Studios, Greenpoint Both screenings will be followed by a Q&A including one of the film’s protagonists, Sheldon Shepherd (“Yardie”) Tickets are already on sale and going fast. Right after the U.S. premiere, REGGAE BOYZ will head to Paris for the Lucarne Festival (June 7), then play at the DC Caribbean FilmFest (June 9), followed by more festivals in Europe, Asia, and the Americas later this summer.

After a global festival tour, various international awards, an Amazon Prime Release, and numerous theatrical releases, we are pleased to announce the German TV premiere of our feature film WHEN GOD SLEEPS on WDR. The film will be available in Germany until February 13. You can also watch it on Amazon Prime now.  

REGGAE BOYZ will have its broadcast television premiere on 8 June at 21:45 on the ARTE network. REGGAE BOYZ is heading to Poland! Our latest documentary will have its European premiere at the 58th Krakow Film Festival. This is an especially great honor because our previous film, WHEN GOD SLEEPS, screened at last year’s festival and won the Golden Heynal Award in the International DocFilmMusic Competition. It’s thrilling to be able to come full circle and kick off REGGAE BOYZ’s European journey at KFF. Ticket are available online and at the box office for our screenings on 30 May and 1 June (the second of which will be followed by a Q&A). Be sure to check out our festival page for additional info. It’s a very exciting day for Partner Pictures! That’s because our film WHEN GOD SLEEPS has its TV premiere TONIGHT on the PBS series Independent Lens at 10 PM EST. It’s been almost a year since the film first screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, and we’re thrilled to now be able to share it with the entire US. Be sure to tune in tonight and to check your local listings for exact times!

April is shaping out to be a very exciting month for Partner Pictures and our latest feature, WHEN GOD SLEEPS. Aside from the film’s television premiere on April 2, we’re pleased to announce that its Russian premiere will be at DOKer 2018! The festival, also known as the Moscow International Documentary Film Festival, runs from April 12 to 17 and will showcase independent documentaries from around the world. Check back at the WGS official website, on our festival page, and on the DOKer Facebook page for screening and ticket announcements. In the meantime, get excited for April!

This Thursday, March 22, WHEN GOD SLEEPS will be screened at New York University’s School of Law as part of “an evening of discussion addressing the world’s current struggle over immigration, the commonalities that unite immigrant communities in our nation, and the importance of free expression”.
